Reproduction of a 1950s vintage German travel poster designed by the artist Otfried Senger (1903–1990).
The poster features three major resort towns in the Bavarian Alps, each displayed on a triangular pennant held by one of the children:
Berchtesgaden: Located in the southeast, famous for the Königssee and the Watzmann mountain.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen: Home to the Zugspitze, Germany's highest peak, and the 1936 Winter Olympics.
Oberstdorf: A major skiing and hiking hub in the Allgäu region.
This whimsical design was part of a mid-century advertising campaign to promote tourism in southern Germany. The illustration style—featuring a smiling sun and children "flying" on a giant suitcase—is characteristic of Senger’s playful and colorful graphic design work from that era.
The original posters were printed by OBP München and are now considered collectible items for fans of retro travel art.
